As the day goes, so does the weather...

When I woke up, the day was cool, grey and overcast. I decided that today would be a museum/ shopping day. I went to a few museums, including the Dunedin Museum and the Otago Museum. The Otago was spectacular and had a science museum as well. Hidden inside the Science part was a hidden gem- a tropical rainforest complete with a waterfall, humid air and tons of butterflies! I saw baby quail too. What a treat! I stayed in there for about an hour and saw Paper, Monarch, Atlas, Blue Morpho and the "Eye of the Devil" butterflies. (I actually made the last one up because I can't remember what it is called, haha.)

Anyway, it was a lot of fun. I spent most of the day browsing and visiting museums and gallery. Hey! A girl has to have a little culture, even on vacation. The sun is out now and I am heading down the long hill to have a bit of dinner and some comedy. The local off the cuff artists have a festival called, Experiment with your Entertainment (no, I didn't make that up!) and it features short film, movies, stand-up comedy, theatre, etc. It is put on by a group called Fringe and since the University is here, it is well attended. So, since I am "on the fringe", I thought I might check it out.

Love,

Kerry
