The long plane ride to Sydney

The pictures above are the coastline at Manly Beach, Manly rocks and the fairy penguins frolicking (don't look for them they didn't show up, but I was told they came at dusk.), Manly Harbour, Sailboat in the harbor, Sydney Opera House and my bed and breakfast with a little terrace. Very cool!!

G'day everyone! Well, I made it to Sydney. It was 6 hours to LAX then 15 to Sydney. We had to divert to Brisbane to re-fuel as the weather was bad in Sydney and we couldn't circle. Anyway, I made it, took an expensive taxi to the B and B, showered and headed out again.

Sydney is a huge megalopolis. I took a ferry to Manly Beach through the harbor. The sights are amazing. The weather is warm and humid, a lot like home.I traversed the Manly Scenic Walkway, a trail that goes along the waterfront, marinas and finally passes through a reserve high on a cliff. After the confinement of the plane, it was good to stretch my legs, believe me. Much of the flora is similar to Fl. as it is a temperate climate. The Opera house, on the harbor is larger in real life. It rained a lot later in the afternoon, but it was so warm, that it was a welcomed relief.

I am pretty tired and just wanted to give you a little taste of Sydney. I am taking the ferry back to my little room and crashing for the night. See you tomorrow.

Love,
Kerry

3 Weeks and counting!

Well, with only 3 weeks to go, I am getting psyched! I have purchased the new raincoat, which purports to be "waterproof". New Zealand's west coast is kind of rainy, so I hope so. I have tickets to see Chris Botti in concert in Melbourne, Australia with my new friends, Steve and Lil Sommers. I even booked a Lighthouse in Wellington, NZ, so there is no bad view. I hope to see you all there in spirit, so check it out! Thanks for your support and all your love.

Love,
Kerry
