The pictures above are the coastline at Manly Beach, Manly rocks and the fairy penguins frolicking (don't look for them they didn't show up, but I was told they came at dusk.), Manly Harbour, Sailboat in the harbor, Sydney Opera House and my bed and breakfast with a little terrace. Very cool!!
G'day everyone! Well, I made it to Sydney. It was 6 hours to LAX then 15 to Sydney. We had to divert to Brisbane to re-fuel as the weather was bad in Sydney and we couldn't circle. Anyway, I made it, took an expensive taxi to the B and B, showered and headed out again.
Sydney is a huge megalopolis. I took a ferry to Manly Beach through the harbor. The sights are amazing. The weather is warm and humid, a lot like home.I traversed the Manly Scenic Walkway, a trail that goes along the waterfront, marinas and finally passes through a reserve high on a cliff. After the confinement of the plane, it was good to stretch my legs, believe me. Much of the flora is similar to Fl. as it is a temperate climate. The Opera house, on the harbor is larger in real life. It rained a lot later in the afternoon, but it was so warm, that it was a welcomed relief.
I am pretty tired and just wanted to give you a little taste of Sydney. I am taking the ferry back to my little room and crashing for the night. See you tomorrow.
Love,
Kerry
